NEW YORK, September 19, 2011 –
QuantNet, a leading online news outlet in the field
of financial engineering, has recognized the Master in Computational
Finance (MSCF) program at Carnegie Mellon University as #1 in its 2011 ranking of financial engineering programs.
This program is a joint venture among the Department of Mathematical
Sciences, the Tepper School of Business, the Department of Statistics,
and the Heinz College. The Department of Mathematical Sciences provides
nearly one-third of the instruction in the program.
“We have long enjoyed a strong reputation on the
Street,” said Rick Bryant, Executive Director of the MSCF program.
“MSCF’s close interdisciplinary collaboration allows us to offer a
highly focused, well-balanced curriculum and our graduates have done
well in their careers. The QuantNet ranking reflects the many efforts of
our students, faculty, administrators and alums and it is great to
see.”
