Welcome to Math 290-3! This is the third and final course in the Math 290 sequence. (My 290-1 page is here and my 290-2 page is here.) This course is all about integral calculus of multivariable functions, following from the material on differential calculus that we learnt last quarter.

Most administrative aspects of the course will be handled using Canvas.

Time and place. MoWeFr 12:00–12:50pm in Technological Institute M128.

Textbook. We will use Vector Calculus (4th edition) by Susan Jane Colley (ISBN 978-0-321-78065-2).

Homework. Homework assignments will be due at the beginning of class on Fridays—they can be viewed on Canvas.

Examinations. There will be two midterm exams and a final exam.

  • Final. 9:00–11:00am on Tuesday 11th June 2019.

Handouts. What follows are the handouts from class and solutions to exercises.

  1. Double integrals over rectangular regions — handoutsolutions
  2. Riemann sums and properties of double integrals
  3. Double integrals over general regions
  4. Change of variables
