Information for invited speakers
Reimbursement
Invited speakers will be reimbursed for their travel expenses
(economy air fare and taxi). Their hotel bill will be paid directly
by Carnegie Mellon. To receive reimbursement for travel expenses
you need to fill and sign the following Travel Expenses Form. The form
should be send to Jeff Moreci, Business Manager, Wean
Hall, 6113 Department of Mathematical Sciences, Carnegie Mellon
University, Pittsburgh, PA, 15213-3890.
Accommodation
For invited speakers, Carnegie Mellon will make a reservation for
you at one of the hotels listed below. An email confirmation will
follow. Your hotel bill (does not include meals, phone calls, etc.. )
will be paid directly by Carnegie Mellon.

Transportation to/from airport
If your destination is Wyndham Garden Hotel you can use any of the
choices below. For Friendship Suites or Shadyside Inn we suggest to
take a taxi.
- The Port Authority Transit Shuttle Bus 28X
- The shuttle runs every 20 minutes, 7 days a week. It departs
from the ground floor of the airport next to the USAir baggage claim
area. As soon as you exit the terminal, you will see a sign for the
28X. Allow 45 minutes to an hour for travel time.
Fare:
$2.25 one-way (exact change required).
- Express Shuttle USA
- Located on the commercial side of the Baggage Claims
Area. Allow 45 minutes to an hour for travel time. Stops at Wyndham Garden.
Stops at Shadyside Inn by reservation only.
Fare: $24.00 one-way and $42.00 round-trip.
- Taxi: Yellow Cab Service
- It departs from the ground floor of the airport. Allow for 30-45 minutes of travel time.
Fare: about $45 one-way.
