RESEARCH
My research is in the area of applied mathematics with main focus on
the analysis and
development of efficient numerical algorithms. I've recently started
studying theoretical and simulation aspects of grain growth in complex
materials as part of the interdepartmental MRSEC initiative at CMU
(MIMP).
Other projects include the design of
fast new algorithms for quantization and clustering with the use of the
concepts like centroidal
Voronoi tessellations, and optimization methods for the determination
of phase diagrams for
multicomponent materials (MATCASE). My earlier research
activities include the analysis of multidimensional birth-death
processes
and development of efficient pricing schemes in next generation
telecommunication networks,
solution of ill-conditioned systems of linear equations and
mathematical models in biology.
