About Me
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Mathematics at Carnegie Mellon University, graduating in Spring 2019. My Ph.D. focuses on problems in the Calculus of Variations relating to materials science and image processing, in particular phase transition, homogenization, and structured deformation. I am also interested in data processing, especially the tools and algorithms involved in processing geometric data.
"If in other sciences we should arrive at certainty without doubt and truth without error, it behooves us to place the foundations of knowledge in mathematics." -- Roger Bacon, Opus Majus, Book 1, Chapter 4.
