Peter Gladbach Carnegie Melllon University Title: Nonlinear stochastic homogenization Abstract: We treat the stochastic homogenization of the fully nonlinear PDEF(D^2u,Du,u,x/eps,omega)=0,where F is elliptic, i.e. decreasing in D^2u and nondecreasing in u.Assuming stationarity and ergodicity of F, we show that the viscosity solutions u_eps(x,omega) to the Dirichlet problem converge omega-almost surely to the viscosity solution of the deterministic homogeneous Dirichlet problem F(D^2u,Du,u)=0 as eps goes to 0. We use the subadditive ergodic theorem, the obstacle problem, and the perturbed test function method.
