This course is a continuation of the ideas in 21-115 Differential Calculus and 21-116 Integral Calculus.
In the first part of the course, we'll learn techniques to broaden the range of functions we are able to integrate. In the second part of the course, we'll discuss differential equations, which are very useful in mathematical modeling. The second part of the course is related to the first in that solving differential equations often boils down to a matter of integration.

We'll mainly cover chapter 7,9. Part of chapter 8 may be reviewed. If time permits, we may add some of chapter 17.

Lecture hours: (MTWRF) 10:30AM-11:50AM PH A20

Grade
There will be weekly homework assignments, a midterm and a final. Each of the midterm and the final will be given in class for 1 hour and 20 minutes. For the overall score, HW takes 20%, midterm takes 40% and final takes 40%. The final is NOT comprehensive, focusing only on the material covered after midterm. (Notice the material is accumulative, so there's no way to avoid stuff done in the early stage of the course completely while testing the later stuff.) The final grade is determined according to the following scale:
Homework assignments
Homework is usually due on Mondays in class. Late HW will not be accepted!
